THE UNDERGROUND BOWLING ASSOCIATION PRESENTS:

SOUTHWEST DRAFT 2025

Location: BOWLERO GARLAND- 1950 Marketplace Dr, Garland, TX 75041

Date: SATURDAY JUNE 7, 2025

Time: 1PM start time (12 NOON begins check-in)

Entry fee: $375 per team ($75 team deposit required)

To prepay, members must be signed into their ubatv.tv account, find PREPAYS (1 day events), select SW DRAFT, enter the required information, & prepay a deposit or pay in full.

Team creation: 5 PERSON HANDICAP TEAM EVENT. TEAMS MUST CONSIST OF:

1 Heavyweight (male or female)

1 Vixen (A female) 

1 Cruiserweight (Any Male/Female below 215 avg)

1 Tag Team (Any 2 members with averages not exceeding a 430 avg cap)

ONLY OFFICIAL MEMBERS ON FRANCHISES & OFFICIAL FREE AGENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. TEAMS CAN CONSIST OF ANY 5 OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE UBA.

FORMAT: Based on 16+ teams, each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 5 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #5 seeded team vs #4 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance. Example: 5th seed's Heavyweight vs 4th seed's Heavyweight, Vixens vs Vixens, Cruiserweight vs Cruiserweight, & Tag Team vs Tag Team. Tag Team will be broken down into 2 individual match play matchups. The higher seeded team will determine these 2 singles matchups. Winning team will bowl the #3 seed, winners of that match will bowl #2 seed & winners of the #2 match will bowl the #1 seed to determine the overall winners.

Based on 10-15 teams, each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 3 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #3 seeded team vs #2 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance to the finals vs #1 seed. 

Ties: 

For stepladder spots 1-4: highest team scratch game during qualifying gets the higher seed.

For stepladder spot #5: a 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th frame roll-off between both teams

For stepladder spot #5 with more than 2 teams, a 1 ball roll off between all tied teams. Highest pinfall breaks the tie

In match play: a 9th & 10th frame roll off between the tied pair.

 

TOP PRIZE: $3,000 based on 16 teams

AVERAGES: **ALL AVERAGES WILL BE FROZEN EFFECTIVE AFTER THE APRIL 13TH TOUR STOP**. MEMBERS MUST USE THEIR LISTED AVERAGE FROM THE UBA DATABASE (www.ubaaverages.com)
