Since we're here to help each other in some form or fashion, what would you consider to be the weakest part of your game? S pares (notably the 10 pin)? Can't hit your mark consistently? Lane play?
Last and early into this year I have noticed in games my focus disappears. I get bored and lose site of what I am doing, I then apply pressure to my own critique. In the past I would get it back to save my game, but this year I've see my focus cause sever mechanical problems. Now that I am in the UBA my club can afford to have a teammate on the line who can't be count to hold his own.

Big Dawg .... the greater percentage of this game is mental and the remainder physical. The more you think, the more 'muscle' is applied during your delivery. What you've described, I believe everyone at one point or another, has fallen victim to it! THS have a tendency to cause the lack of focus as it provides 'area' to play the lanes. One way to combat this is to maintain your pre-shot routine with every shot, thus lessen the risk of losing focus for countless frames.
Lack of balance can be attributed to timing. If you start the ball too early in your push-away, your feet will have to catch up with your swing OR you actually 'muscle' your swing to slow it down. Conversely, if it's too late you have a tendency of accelerating (again using muscle) your armswing to keep up with your feet. Main objective is to try to achieve an effortless armswing, therefore allowing 'other forces' to do the work (i.e. gravity).
True indeed. There aren't many plastic balls with a 'weight-block' other than the standard pancake shaped core. Those that do have a weight-block roll very well in the correct conditions (as you stated). You can play straight up the boards (5 and out), sit there and watch it walk back to the pocket!!! Lane #1 Diamond Crystal is good, but their XXXL (not the Starburst) is no JOKE!
Since you prefer to throw your normal way, why not invest in a plastic ball? You can get your typical plastic with pancake core (very weak and hook is minimal) or one with true core (i.e. Lane #1 XXXL Superstar) which will hook when it encounters dry. Can't go wrong either way.
