The 6 district champions will be seeded 1 through 6 based on the total combined point totals from the district opening round & the district finals. Teams that are seeded 1, 3, & 5 will bowl round robin #1 & the teams seeded 2, 4, & 6 will bowl round robin #2. Both round robins will take place in 1 day in same location. Tie-breakers will be determined by combined total pinfall.

Double elimination round-robin to determine the conference champion. If a team "wins" both initial head to head match-ups (21+ points in each), that team will advance automatically.

This option gives a team to win both matches and advance, and in the event of all 3 teams going 1-1, we do double elimination, with the lowest point totals bowling in the elimination match first.

Entry Fee: $240 per team...($60 Deposit will guarantee team entry on a 1st come/1st serve basis)

THIS EVENT WILL BE A 5 PERSON SCRATCH TEAM EVENT WITH AN 1115 TEAM AVERAGE CAP WHERE EACH TEAM MUST CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:

 

1 Heavyweight (Any average male/female)

1 Vixen (Any average female)

1 Cruiserweight (Any Male/Female with 215 or below avg)

1 Tag Team (Any 2 members that do not exceed 430 avg cap)

 

- TEAM AVG CAP: 1115

 

ONLY OFFICIAL MEMBERS ON FRANCHISES & OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. TEAMS CAN CONSIST OF ANY 5 OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE UBA.

 

FORMAT: Each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 5 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #5 seeded team vs #4 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance. Example: 5th seed's Heavyweight vs 4th seed's Heavyweight, Vixens vs Vixens, Cruiserweight vs Cruiserweight, & Tag Team vs Tag Team. Tag Team will be broken down into 2 individual match play match-ups. The higher seeded team will determine these 2 singles matchups. Winning team will bowl the #3 seed, winners of that match will bowl #2 seed & winners of the #2 match will bowl the #1 seed to determine the overall winners.

SOUTHEAST REGION STRIKE FEST EVENT DETAILS

Below you will find full details of the UBA SE STRIKE FEST event which takes place on Feb 16 & Feb 17 2019 at Village Lanes (330 N Hardee St, Durham, NC 27703). Please note that all information listed is subject to change or be edited.

The Underground Bowling Association Presents: 2019 SOUTHEAST REGION STRIKE FEST

- PREPAY TABS GO LIVE ON TUESDAY JANUARY 22ND 2019 at 6PM!!!!!

Members must be signed into their ubatv.tv account, find the UBA WCS Strike Fest payment tab & select desired event & prepay.

 

- 4 EVENTS in total & open to all official UBA members.

- Team deposits of $60 each must be prepaid to guarantee entry. All cash balances due at check-in time of the event.

- 1st come / 1st serve basis will be used.

- A golden opportunity to guarantee yourself a title shot by accumulating overall points (See overall incentive below)

 

Location: Village Lanes: 330 N Hardee St, Durham, NC 27703

Dates: Saturday, February 16th & Sunday, February 17th, 2019

Times: Sat events (3) - 10am, 2pm & 6pm start times

            Sun event (1) - 10am start time.

 

ALL EVENTS ARE SCRATCH!!!!!!!!

 

Event #1: TRIOS ($180 per team) Saturday, Feb 16th, 9am check-in / 10am start.

Teams must consist of 1 Vixen (any female), 1 Welterweight (199 avg & below), & 1 Cruiserweight (215 avg & below). Members do not have to belong to the same UBA franchise. All members will bowl 3 games & the highest total pinfallSCRATCH will determine the final standings. Handicap & Scratch brackets & pots will be available during this event.

 

Event #2: Mixed Doubles ($120 per team) Saturday, Feb 16th, 1pm check-in / 2pm start.

Teams must consist of 1 female & 1 male member where their combined entering averages cannot exceed 430. Members do not have to belong to the same UBA franchise. All members will bowl 3 games & the highest total pinfall SCRATCH will determine the final standings. Handicap & Scratch brackets & pots will be available during this event.

 

Event #3: The Callout ($240 per team) Saturday, Feb 16th, 5pm check-in / 6pm start.

1. For this event, all teams must consist of members belonging to the same UBA franchise. Teams must consist of 1 Welterweight (199 avg & below), 1 Cruiserweight (215 avg & below), 1 Vixen (any female) & 1 Heavyweight (Any avg bowler). Format for this is event is team match play.

2. Each bowler on a team is worth points, as follows: Bowler 1 - Welterweight (5 points), Bowler 2 - Vixen (10 points), Bowler 3 - Cruiserweight (15 points) and Bowler 4 - Heavyweight (20 points). After all teams submit their lineup, a random draw is held, and the pairings are set up.

3. Before the match starts, each person on each team MUST CALL OUT their opponent that they want to challenge. That bowler can be ANY PERSON in the line-up. The challenges cannot change for the 3-game set.

4. The bowler that defeats the person that they call out gets the points of the bowler they defeated per game. Any ties will be worth half for the bowler who called their opponent out.  Points will not be awarded to bowlers who are called out & not defeated. Points are only awarded to bowlers who successfully defeat the opponent they challenged.

5. Play continues through all 3 games. The team with the most number of points advances. If there is a tie on points, number of individual games won determines the winner, if there is a tie on that, then overall wood determines the winner, followed by number of team games won.

6. Elimination rounds will continue until a winner is crowned. Random draw for match-ups will continue as well for each elimination round.

7. If there is a round with an odd number of winners, the team with the highest total pinfall out of all losing teams in that previous round will advance to even out the match-ups for the next round.

8. Handicap & Scratch brackets & pots will be available during this event.

 

Event #4: The Draft ($300 per team) Sunday, Feb 17th,  9am check-in / 10am start

THIS EVENT WILL BE A 5 PERSON SCRATCH TEAM EVENT WITH AN 1115 TEAM AVERAGE CAP WHERE EACH TEAM MUST CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:

 

1 Heavyweight (Any average male/female)

1 Vixen (Any average female)

1 Cruiserweight (Any Male/Female with 215 or below avg)

1 Tag Team (Any 2 members that do not exceed 430 avg cap)

 

- TEAM AVG CAP: 1115

 

ONLY OFFICIAL MEMBERS ON FRANCHISES & OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. TEAMS CAN CONSIST OF ANY 5 OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE UBA.

 

FORMAT: Each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 5 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #5 seeded team vs #4 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance. Example: 5th seed's Heavyweight vs 4th seed's Heavyweight, Vixens vs Vixens, Cruiserweight vs Cruiserweight, & Tag Team vs Tag Team. Tag Team will be broken down into 2 individual match play match-ups. The higher seeded team will determine these 2 singles matchups. Winning team will bowl the #3 seed, winners of that match will bowl #2 seed & winners of the #2 match will bowl the #1 seed to determine the overall winners.

 

ENTERING AVERAGE FOR ALL EVENTS: HIGHEST OF THE FOLLOWING 5 SELECTIONS

 

USBC 2016-17 Winter (21+ games)/2016 Summer (27+ games)

USBC 2017-18 Winter (21+ games)/2017 Summer (27+ games)

USBC Adjusted Average: 2016-17 Winter (21+ games)/2016 Summer (27+ games)

USBC Adjusted Average: 2017-18 Winter (21+ games)/2017 Summer (27+ games)

All official UBA rerated averages after September 1, 2018.

OVERALL INCENTIVE: There will be a point system in play for members to accumulate in each event where the member with the most points overall (OUT OF THEIR TOP 3 EVENTS) will receive a REGIONAL title shot of their choosing, based on what the bowler can qualify for. (World Title excluded).The title match must take place before Battle Bowl X. Here is the point system:

 

EVENT WINNER: 10 pts

2nd place: 7 pts

3rd place: 5 pts

4th place: 4 pts

5th place: 3 pts

6th place: 2 pts

7th & 8th place: 1 pt.

 

If there is a tie on points, then overall pinfall will determine who gets the title opportunity.
