A TRIPLES HANDICAP 2 WEEKEND TEAM EVENT WHERE TEAMS MUST CONSIST OF 3 MEMBERS FROM 3 DIFFERENT UBA TEAMS & HAVE AT LEAST 1 MALE & 1 FEMALE BOWLER. BOWLERS MUST WEAR THEIR OWN OFFICIAL TEAM JERSEY WHILE COMPETING. OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO BOWL (Also must have independent jersey).

  1. USBC 2017 SUMMER (located in the 2016-17 section of bowl.com)
  2. USBC 2017-18 WINTER
  3. USBC 2018 SUMMER (located in the 2017-18 section of bowl.com)
  4. USBC 2018-19 WINTER
  5. UBA Average(Rolling): Starting with 2018-19 UBA Season Tour and Event scores (9+ games)
Members without an average that meets any of the guidelines listed above, must bowl at a 250 average. A rerate can be requested by submitting a rerate request form located on the ubatv.tv website in the forms & documents section & reading the UBA's rerate policy(same location).
  1. A UBA Rolling average will be determined as the rolling average of and up to the most recent 50 UBA Season Tour and Event games.
  2. No games prior to September 1, 2018 will be used in this calculation.
  3. Rolling averages will not take effect in the middle of a given set. 9+ games are required at the beginning of play for that event for this average to be considered.
If a UBA member does not have a valid USBC bowling number and/or average, then they must bowl scratch at all official UBA events. The UBA Executive Office reserves the right to adjust or re-rate the average of any member at any time.

The Underground Bowling Association presents: SOUTHEAST REGION DRAFT 2020

EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL OFFICIAL UBA MEMBERS

Please note that all information listed is subject to change or be edited. 

  ****PREPAY TAB FOR THIS EVENT WILL GO LIVE ON MONDAY JANUARY 6TH 2020 at 6PM*****  

Location: VILLAGE LANES - 330 N. HARDEE ST. DURHAM, NC 27703

Date: Sunday February 9th 2020.

Time: 10am start time (9am begins check-in)

Entry fee: $300 per team($60 team deposits must be prepaid to guarantee entry. All cash balances due at check-in time of the event).

- 1st come / 1st serve basis will be used.

To prepay, members must be signed into their ubatv.tv account, find the EVENT PRE-PAYMENTS tab, select the SE DRAFT sub tab & prepay a deposit or pay in full.

THIS EVENT IS A 5 PERSON SCRATCH TEAM EVENT WITH AN 1115 TEAM AVERAGE CAP WHERE EACH TEAM MUST CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:

1 Heavyweight (male or female)

1 Vixen (A female)

1 Cruiserweight (Any Male/Female with 215 or below avg)

1 Tag Team (Any 2 members that do not exceed a 430 avg cap)

ONLY OFFICIAL MEMBERS ON FRANCHISES & OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. TEAMS CAN CONSIST OF ANY 5 OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE UBA.

FORMAT: Each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 5 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #5 seeded team vs #4 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance. Example: 5th seed's Heavyweight vs 4th seed's Heavyweight, Vixens vs Vixens, Cruiserweight vs Cruiserweight, & Tag Team vs Tag Team. Tag Team will be broken down into 2 individual match play match-ups. The higher seeded team will determine these 2 singles matchups. Winning team will bowl the #3 seed, winners of that match will bowl #2 seed & winners of the #2 match will bowl the #1 seed to determine the overall winners.

AVERAGES ARE FROZEN as of JAN 6TH 2020

The UBA will use the highest recorded USBC/UBA average of the following (21+ game minimum): 

1. USBC 2017 SUMMER (located in 2016-17 section of bowl.com)
2. USBC 2017-18 WINTER (Standard & converted average)
3. USBC 2018 SUMMER (located in the 2017-18 section of bowl.com)

ONLY OFFICIAL MEMBERS ON FRANCHISES & OFFICIAL INDEPENDENT MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE. TEAMS CAN CONSIST OF ANY 5 OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE UBA.

FORMAT: Each team will bowl 3 games on the same pair of lanes & the Top 5 teams will advance to the stepladder round. The stepladder round will begin with the #5 seeded team vs #4 seeded team. One game elimination round will be broken down into 5 individual matches. Team that wins 3 out of 5 singles matches will advance. The team you are initially signed up to bowl with after check-in is completed is the team you must stay on for the entire event. Teams may edit their roster at the start of practice of each round but must use members on their initial roster that was finalized at check-in. Members competing in rounds 2 & 3 will have 5 min of practice time before competition begins for those rounds.
 
 
FORMAT: Team Relay is 3 Rounds
 
Round 1(HDCP): Each team must submit 3 bowlers and bowl 3 games each.
 
Round 2(HDCP & SCRATCH): Each team must submit 2 bowlers 1 SCRATCH & 1 HANDICAP and bowl 3 games each.
 
Round 3(SCRATCH): Each team must submit 1 SCRATCH bowler and bowl 3 games.
 
 
** Point system for each round will be based on the number of entries. For example, if there are a total of 52 teams, 1st place per round will be 52 pts, 2nd will be 51pts, 3rd will be 50pts...>>>>> 52nd place = 1pt.

EACH SEMI-FINAL TEAM BOWLS 1 UBA BAKER ELIMINATING GAME & THE TOP 2 TEAMS WILL BOWL TO DETERMINE THE LAST TEAM STANDING.

THE BREAKDOWN FOR THE ELIMINATION ROUNDS WILL BE ANNOUNCED. CUT NUMBERS WILL BE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF TEAMS MAKING IT TO THE SUNDAY ELIMINATION ROUND.

  3. Rolling averages will not take effect in the middle of a given set. 9+ games are required at the beginning of play for that event for this average to be considered.

If a UBA member does not have a valid USBC bowling number and/or average, then they must bowl scratch at all UBA sanctioned bowling official events. The UBA Executive Office reserves the right to adjust or re-rate the average of any bowler at any time.

ALL UBA FRANCHISES WILL BE SCHEDULED TO COMPETE IN 13 TOUR STOP MATCHES. DISTRICTS WITH AN ODD NUMBER OF TEAMS WILL HAVE 1 TEAM ONLY BOWL 12 TOUR STOP MATCHES (determined at final tour stop). TOP 4 TEAMS WILL ADVANCE TO THE 2020 UBA PLAYOFFS
