This week I was on fire, I am almost afraid to post my score as I don’t think anyone will believe me. Last week I was ashamed to post them now I afraid. Well here it goes after the struggle last week I had my all time high score in league with an 846 series, my games were 278+289+279=846. This was my 4th 800 series in league. I even had an open in the 1st frame of the first game, I missed the 10 pin. I left 3, 10 pins and a 4 pin the rest were strikes. I used my ebonite magic on the right lane and my Brunswick twisted fury solid on the left lane. The magic had 2000 abralon and the twisted fury had 1000 on it. Well this week I bowled on Friday morning and Friday night as a sub. I really struggled for what I have been bowling I am in a slump plus the shots tougher. I had a 615 Friday morning with 4 opens 2 of which were 7, 10 splits in the pocket. Then I only had a 566 in the evening I was pretty much lost in this house, I just don‘t match up well at this center. It is a scratch league and other team members tell me they are 20 pins down in this league from last year and from there other nights. Well I only sub and it is a tougher shot. Well this week I only bowled on Friday morning. I did pretty well having a 692 with two open frames, both were 8, 10 pocket splits. My games were 222+214+256 to the 692 series. I used my ebonite magic on the left lane and my Brunswick siege on the right. The magic had 2000 abralon and my siege had 1000 abralon pad surface. Well I have been busy and having trouble keeping up with posting my bowling scores. I have 3 outings to post. First I got called to sub last Friday night I had a 646 with 3 open frames, I must note this is a 5 on a team scratch league. In addition, the pattern changes every week and is tough at times. I used my ebonite magic which gave me the best reaction the last game and had a 236 game. My scores were 215+195+236=646 and I was high on the pair that night. I then bowled my normal Friday morning league this week, the shot was tougher this week and I used my Brunswick Siege with 1000 abralon and had a 663 with 3 opens and had scores of 245+203+215=663 and I was high for the league. Then I got the call to sub Friday night and had a 624 the shot was drier than the week, before, this shot was tough, I did have 4 open frames. I need to practice on a tougher pattern if these shots are going to be this much of a grind. Well I have been bowling more lately last Sunday I bowled in a scratch sweeper and averaged 235.2 for the 5 gamer. The field was very tough so it took a 238 average to cash. I had 4 open frames that day 2 spits and 2 10 pins. Today I bowled in my normal Friday league and had a 723 series with 3 open frames. I used my ebonite magic on the left lane and the Brunswick twisted fury solid on the right. I used 2000 abralon pad on the magic and 1000 on the twisted fury solid. My games were 246+213+264 = 723 for the series.

Well after having a great week last week I struggled with a 558 series today, this was one of my worst outings in over a year. I had a 156 my second game and 7 open frames over all. I realize I was not rolling the ball well and trying to look positively at it. You have to take he good with the bad and old friend once told me. I have only had 1 game under 200 in the last 6, but it killed me. The hole league was down though and a few average in the 215 range. Well PMA a new start, and I hole am more in tune next week. I did have two 8,10s and a 7,10 in the pocket.

Good Start For My First Week Of Fall Bowling 2009Well I am back to fall bowling after the summer I was only able to bowl the 5 weeks of the 8 week summer bowling. Then I went on vacation. I averaged 205 in the summer pba league for those 5 weeks and did get to bowl on all the 5 patterns once. Then I did practice, but I did slow way down over the summer. Now our league started today and I started with a bang having a 762 series today and had 2 open frames. I missed a 10 pin in the 1st game and a 7 pin in the 2nd game. I had games of 247+236+279 for the 762 series. I used an ebonite magic on the left lane and a Brunswick siege on the right lane. I used a 1000 abralon pad on the siege and 2000 abralon on the magic. 5th Week of Summer Sport Doubles LeagueThis week in our Summer Sport Doubles League which is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and we bowl 4 games. Well last night was our 5th week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Shark pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 192+215+193+205 for an 805 series. This shot was a little tougher than the others, but I had to make sure that I kept the ball insider and did not swing the ball outside to far as it would hang. This was supposed to be a 44 ft pattern. I used my Storm Virtual Gravity this week. I did adjust the surface of the ball with 2000 abralon. In addition, I try to bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.
4th Week of Summer Sport Doubles League. Last night in our Summer Sport Doubles League which is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and we bowl 4 games. Well last night was our 3rd week we were suppose to be bowling on the PBA Cheetah pattern. I must note this is a wood bowling center; well I had games of 184+189+243+202 for an 818 series. This shot was not bad really, but I had to make sure that I swung the ball because there was no hold; the pattern is suppose to be short pattern. I really did not have a shot up the 3 board like they say, but I did have lots of swing area from about 13 board at the arrows to 5 board at the breakpoint. I could strike, but I had tons of open frames like 2 or 3 a game. In the 3rd game I had a 242 with an open in the 10th frame. In addition, I used my ebonite magic again this week. The magic seems to respond really well to the patterns so far. I did adjust the surface of the ball with 2000 abralon pad. In addition, I try to bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.
2nd Week of Summer Sport Doubles League Last night in our Summer Sport Doubles League it is suppose to be like a PBX league, but it is not sanctioned and is 4 games. This shot was not as tough as last week; the pattern is suppose to be 2 ft longer and I played the lanes about the same area first as last week and used my ebonite magic. This ball seems to work good on these conditions for me I did adjust the surface with 2000 abralon. I bowl on sport patterns every summer if I can.

This shot was tough at first as the lane conditions hooked a lot more than I expected, but after I moved far enough left and changed balls I had a pretty good shot. I used my Storm Virtual Gravitymy first 3 games and then changed to my Ebonite Magicthe last game. This is a lot different than the house patterns I have been bowling on. My bowling scores today were 256+212+208+248+182 for an 1106 series in our local monthly scratch tournament I averaged 221 for the 5 game sweeper and only had 4 open frames. I missed 2,10 pins and had a 7 + 10 and a 8 + 10 in the pocket. I never cashed this month, but I did get money back for a high game. I just had trouble getting lined up today and was debating whether I should bowl today as my mental game was not there. I was going out with the ball to much there was a little to much wiggle if I crossed the oil going out and could not line up with a more direct shot. I did get 6th lace last month and usually cash in this event.
