Howdy all competitive bowling enthusiasts! Following impressive turnouts for the first two events, Carolier Has Attitude! returns on Sunday June 24, 2012! Carolier Has Attitude! has been a huge success so far! Each of the first two events brought over 30+ participants... that included adult men, adult women, and junior bowlers!!! Entering averages have ranged from 123 through 247 and everything in between!! We have already paid out thousands of dollars in prize money! These events have truly brought out a broad spectrum of bowlers which is the exact intention of this tournament series!!! Congratulations to Mike Panebianco on winning the May 20, 2012 event! CAROLIER HAS ATTITUDE! Event Details: Carolier Has Attitude! is a tournament series intended to attract a broad spectrum of men and women(adult or juniors) from all over the area to compete in tournaments that are affordable, competitive, and potentially lucrative!!! The format of the tournament is designed to offer a fair chance at success to bowlers of any skill level at an affordable entry fee. The details of the first event are as follows: Handicap Singles open to all men and women; adult or junior bowlers! Tournament Date: SUNDAY June 24, 2012 Registration: 6pm; Competition: 7pm Entry Fee: $45 1 in 5 CASH $500 for first place(based on 50 entries) Hoping to get there this time around! Lots of extra brackets and sidepots will also be available! HOUSE SHOT! Handicap is based on 80% of 230 with no negative handicaps. Highest verified 2010-2011 USBC average(minimum 21 games) will be used. If no 2010-2011 average exists the most recent USBC average(minimum 21 games) going back as far as 2008-2009 will be used. If no verified USBC average exists for the past three years an entering average of 210 will be used. Format is as follows: Qualifying: Contestants will bowl three games. Highest pinfall plus handicap will advance to Match Play Bracket. 1 in 5 entries will advance(minimum of 8 bowlers will advance). Match Play Bracket: Bowlers will be seeded depending on qualifying round scores in a single game single elimination handicap bracket. Winner of the bracket will be crowned Carolier Has Attitude! THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE WOMEN TO HAVE SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN TO SHINE WITH.
AMF GARDEN CITY LANES HAS GRACIOUSLY OFFERED THE WHOLE HOUSE (50 LANES ) FOR THIS LEAGUE
THIS LEAGUE WILL RUN FOR 13 WEEKS AS A HANDICAP/SCRATCH LEAGUE AT 80% OF 230 USING YOUR HIGHEST 2010-2011 AVERAGES (SINCE THE CURRENT YEAR HAS UNTIL 7/1/2012 TO SUBMIT).
TENTATIVE POINT SYSTEM SO THAT ALL LEVEL OF BOWLERS WILL BE COVERED IS A 16 POINT SYSTEM , 2 POINTS HANDICAP & 2 POINTS SCRATCH EACH GAME AND FOR WOOD ALSO. EVEN IF YOU LOSE TO THE HANDICAP BOWLER BUT YOU BEAT THEM SCRATCH YOU STILL GET POINTS.
THE COST OF THE LEAGUE WILL BE $27.00 PER WEEK WITH A $10 REGISTRATION FEE. LINEAGE IS ONLY $10.00 PER WEEK. MINUS EXPENSES, $15.00 PLUS THE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE GOING TO THE PRIZE FUND.
DUE TO THE FACT THAT IS IS SUMMERTIME, ROVING SUBS & PRE-BOWLS WILL BE ALLOWED.
HAPPY HOUR WILL RUN DURING THE WHOLE LEAGUE & FOR ONE HOUR AFTER WITH DISCOUNTS ON ALL DRINKS.

I'd like to personally thank the Classic Walkdown team for coming thru to the hardest borough in the city to give us our first exhibition match. They put up a fight by missing 5 pins, throwing gutter balls, throwing double gutter balls in some frames, and most of all only winning a total of 5 games out of 12. If they gonna bowl like this when we come to Garden City my team might just have to take them to Roosevelt Field Mall and buy them some equipment they can use from Modell's!
How about Senior rankings, Who is the top over 50 in the UBA!

When a bowler starts a games with a string of strikes there is always the possibility that he/her will roll twele in a row and score a 300 game. The belief is that no one should mention such a possibility because if anyone does the string is such to be broken.
